St. Francis of Assisi would go into the forest and pray and talk to the animals. It changed our relationship with our pets who become and share a part of us and our lives. A special day for them and FOR YOU! Let us Praise the Lord! Awesome indeed+ as holy water is sprinkled on your pet and a personal prayer over each pet from Bishop Gary Lillibridge, bringing them into the family of God with His Infinite Love.

PLAN TO ATTEND THIS WIDELY ACCLAIMED EVENT IN COASTAL YORK COUNTY, MAINE. Throughout the world, the parishes of the Anglican/Episcopal Church bless and pray for our pets and animals on the Feast Day of St. Francis. 122 people brought their 75 pets to St. Peter's in 2021 for a sprinkling of holy water and prayers offered to God our Creator for each of them By name! Last year 103 pets enjoyed the holy event at church. It was held OUTSIDE again this year. IT WAS A CLOUDY YET PERFECT MORNING INDEED ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2021 at both the 8 am and 10 am services. We had over 75 pets and 122 people gathering to see and feel God’s 💕 love on our pets. We used the outdoor altar and celebrated Holy Communion (Eucharist). A beautiful celebration.
