WE ARE STILL WORKING ON THIS NEW FEATURE FOLKS
PLAN TO ATTEND THIS WIDELY ACCLAIMED EVENT IN COSTAL YORK COUNTY, MAINE. Throughout the world, the parishes of the Anglican/Episcopal Church bless and pray for our pets and animals on the Feast Day of St. Francis. 122 people brought their 75 pets to St. Peter's this year for a sprinkling of holy water and prayers offered to God our Creator for each of them By name! Last year 103 pets enjoyed the holy event at church. It was held OUTSIDE again this year. IT WAS A CLOUDY YET PERFECT MORNING INDEED ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2021 at both the 8 am and 10 am services. We had over 75 pets and 122 people gathering to see and feel God’s 💕 love on our pets. We used the outdoor altar and celebrated Holy Communion (Eucharist). A beautiful celebration. Bishop Gary Lillibridge was our preacher and celebrant fo this Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi.

Your pets will enjoy being outdoors this year as we all sing hymns and worship The Lord. Let's hear the meows, barks, and chirps as they talk to the voice and Love of our God and Creator. +
God is all about Love. His Love for us in Jesus Christ His Son, our Savior and Redeemer. His love for his creation=His animals and those we hold dear to our hearts and minds: our pets.
St. Francis of Assisi would go into the forest and pray and talk to the animals. It changed our relationship with our pets who become and share a part of us and our lives. A special day for them and FOR YOU! Let us Praise the Lord! Awesome indeed+ as holy water is sprinkled on your pet and a personal prayer over each pet from Bishop Lillibridge brings them into the family of God with His Infinite Love. COME WINESS THIS HOLY AND AWESOME LITURGY
The Bishop of Maine, the Rt. Rev. Thomas Brown did visitation at St Peter’s at the 10 am Mass and a large turnout filled the church. Special music was sung by our professional adult choir. And a brunch followed the 10 am Eucharist at the oceanfront newly renovated rectory. A fun filled event for everyone. Praise Jesus. WE ENJOYED YOUR VISIT WITH US BISHOP THOMAS. Thank you
St. Peter's by the Sea Episcopal was built in 1897 from a bequest by Nannie Dunlap Conoroe, widow of George. Built on Christian Hill so that its cross would be visible to sailors at sea, the Church was designed by George C. Burns and built by Edward Blaisdell of York. The stained glass windows were designed and built by the Connick Studios of Boston.
The Library in Ogunquit was given by Nannie also and its design similar to St. Peter's.
