St. Peter's by the Sea Episcopal was built in 1897 from a bequest by Nannie Dunlap Conoroe, widow of George. Built on Christian Hill so that its cross would be visible to sailors at sea, the Church was designed by George C. Burns and built by Edward Blaisdell of York. The stained glass windows were designed and built by the Connick Studios of Boston.
The Library in Ogunquit was given by Nannie also and its design similar to St. Peter's.

Worship services with Eucharist are held at 8:00 am and 10:00 am each Sunday between June 10, 2018 and September 30, 2018. In addition to the beautiful liturgy, a special music program is provided each Sunday to enhance Episcopal worship. Our regular presiding clergy of 3 priests are known for their dynamic preaching abilities in the community. Our professional choir sings at the 10 am Service each Sunday in July & August this summer. Don't miss it! EXPERIENCE THE LOVE AND JOY
Following the 10 am service, we host a Fellowship Hour of food, drinks, and conversation at the adjacent historic Marmion house, the rectory for our priests. Oceanside, it offers beautiful views of the Atlantic while enjoying drink, food, and conversation. The picture below is the Marmion House!
The Episcopal Church, an arm of the worldwide Anglican Church (85 million members) welcomes local and visitors of all faiths and orientations within its walls. You are most welcomed here regardless of your religion, race, or sexual orientation.
We are members of God's family, rooted in Jesus Christ in love for one another.
Our church offers you a worship richly grounded in Liturgy and in the love and fellowship of Jesus Christ.
You will be most welcomed. We celebrate Holy Communion and listen to the Word of God read and preached.
We sit, kneel, and stand in worship. We sing hymns with music, organ, and sometimes instrumental. We kneel to pray, sit to listen or stand to sing.
You are never alone in our worship. You become family. St. Peter's by the Sea is part of the largest Protestant denomination, the Anglican Church in the world, with over 85 million members. Our roots date back to the Church of England in 1549!
