This year's Annual Guild Picnic was held on July 10, 2022. Fun, food, drinks. The picnic followed the 10 am service at the rectory and grounds on the Atlantic Ocean.
This fundraising event helps the Guild fulfill its mission of community outreach - helping local families in our area face hardships.
This special 125th anniversary event was held on July 10, 2022 at 4 pm in the church. Organist and Director of Music Harold Stover conducted the Choir of St. Peter’s as written for services of the Church of England and its affiliates in works from the 16th century England up to the 20th century. Composers featured on the program include Thomas Tallis, Henry Purcell, and William Henry Harris, along with several others. The concert will conclude with a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Admission was free.
This year's Annual Jazz Concert was held on August 7, 2022 at 4 pm. The 17-member NEW LEGACY SWING BAND performed again this summer. A reception with wine and cheese from Ogunquit's Beachmere Hotel was also held on the spacious and beautiful grounds by the rectory alongside the Atlantic Ocean at the rectory. This sold out concert was organized by the Jazz Committee at St. Peter’s.
All funds raised go to the Preservation Fund of St. Peter's by the Sea.
This year's Annual Guild Brunch will be held on August 21, 2022 after the 10 am service with the Right Reverend Thomas Brown, our Bishop of the Diocese of Maine in attendance. Plan to be at this big fundraising event and bring the kids too. Tickets for the brunch will be on sale soon.

The Rt. Rev. Thomas Brown, Bishop of the Diocese of Maine will be visiting us at St Peter’s by the Sea Episcopal Church on Sunday August 22 and will celebrate the Eucharist at 10 am. A reception will follow in the newly totally renovated rectory. Bishop Brown was ordained and consecrated as the 10th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocesecof Maine on June 22, 2019. The Legacy Jazz Band performed exceptionally well for their debut at St Peter’s annual Jazz Concert in 2021 and are back in 2022.
Our 13 professional singers make up the 2022 summer choristers under the direction of Harold Stover, our Music Director and Organist.

The professional Choir of St. Peter's under the direction of choirmaster Harold Stover will sing at the 10 a.m. Eucharist service during the months of June, July, and August this summer.
Bishop Gary Lillibridge retired a couple years ago as the Bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas (San Antonio). He is widely acclaimed for his Spirit led preaching and biblical messages bout Jesus the Christ in our daily contemporary lives. Don't miss Bishop Lillibridge as he brings life to the Scriptures and meaning to our everyday lives in this hectic world. Bring your children too (we have Kids Bible Activity Bags with all kinds of Christian educational games). Join Bishop Lillibridge and his wife, Catherine as they join the Fellowship Hour with food and drinks after the 10 am service of Holy Communion during August, September, and October in the rectory alongside the Atlantic Ocean behind the church. YOU WILL BE MOST WELCOMED. Come try it, you will like the awesome experience we proclaim in the Holy Spirit and love of God in Jesus Christ as Lord.
Nationally recognized organist HAROLD STOVER is our organist and music director for St. Peters by the Sea Episcopal. His knowledge of Anglican liturgy is known throughout the national church and we welcome you to be filled with the joy and spirit .
PLAN TO ATTEND THIS WIDELY ACCLAIMED EVENT IN COASTAL YORK COUNTY, MAINE. Throughout the world, the parishes of the Anglican/Episcopal Church bless and pray for our pets and animals on the Feast Day of St. Francis. 122 people brought their 75 pets to St. Peter's in 2021 for a sprinkling of holy water and prayers offered to God our Creator for each of them By name! Last year 103 pets enjoyed the holy event at church. It was held OUTSIDE again this year. IT WAS A CLOUDY YET PERFECT MORNING INDEED ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2021 at both the 8 am and 10 am services. We had over 75 pets and 122 people gathering to see and feel God’s 💕 love on our pets. We used the outdoor altar and celebrated Holy Communion (Eucharist). A beautiful celebration. Bishop Gary Lillibridge was our preacher and celebrant fo this Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi.

God is all about Love. His Love for us in Jesus Christ His Son, our Savior and Redeemer. His love for his creation=His animals and those we hold dear to our hearts and minds: our pets.
St. Francis of Assisi would go into the forest and pray and talk to the animals. It changed our relationship with our pets who become and share a part of us and our lives.
